About our Company

Welcome to Love Light Productions!

We are a fun, family friendly theater company, new to the east valley.

My name is Betsy Love and I have been directing shows for the past 25 years, as a hobby and as a teacher in the Mesa area.  I love working with teens and adults. I have acted in and produced such shows as Little Nell, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Give My Regards to Broadway, Dear Ruth, The Importance of Being Earnest, Kokonut Kapers, Arsenic and Old Lace to name a few. I have also written several musicals. Recently, I have expanded my theatrical experience to include the community. In February I wrote and directed A Doll's Life (musical) at Clearview Cultural Center.

In high school I had a passion for dance and theater. I was awarded Best Choreography and was runner-up for Best Actress in a series of Road Shows my junior and senior years. After I married and while raising my family I took voice lessons, acted in and directed a few church/community shows.

It wasn't until my youngest ones started school that I began my career as a theater teacher.

One of the things that frustrated me as a teacher was that so many talented kids get swept aside because theater teachers tended to keep casting their favorite students. When I cast my first show, I decided to pick actors based  on their reliability rather than on their talent. An amazing thing happened--underneath some of those "lesser" kids were actors just waiting for an opportunity to shine. Now I have been given the opportunity to expand my career to include the community.

If you have even the tiniest bit of talent, come share it with us here at Love Light Productions!

“I, Nephi…” This simple statement begins one of the most powerful, thrilling and uplifting sagas of all time. I Nephi takes you on a musical journey through the trials and triumphs of Nephi, beginning with Lehi’s dream in Jerusalem and culminating in his family’s arrival in the new world. Entertaining, inspirational and unforgettable, I, Nephi brings the message of the Book of Mormon to life.
